Man Shot In Stomach At Alsip Apartment Complex, 2 Teens Charged
The man told police he heard gunshots walking back to his apartment when he realized he had been shot, Alsip police said.
ALSIP, IL — A man was shot in the stomach while walking back to his apartment Wednesday’. Two teens are facing multiple juvenile felonies, Alsip police said.
Officers responded to a call reporting shots fired on the 12600 block of Alpine Drive at about 5 p.m. Nov. 8. and found a man in the vestibule of an apartment building with a gunshot wound to his lower abdomen.
The man told police that he heard gunshots while walking to his apartment and then realized he had been shot. He was transported to the hospital and received treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

Officers searched the apartment where they recovered clothing worn by the juvenile suspects as well as two guns, including a stolen 40 mm Springfield XD-M handgun and 9mm ghost gun where the serial number had been scratched off, police said.
Alsip police have sought juvenile felony charges for aggravated discharge of a firearm and aggravated unlawful use of a weapon from the Cook County State’s Attorney’s office.
