Man Sought in Connection to Alsip Craigslist Robbery: COPS

Robbins man is wanted on theft charge. Cops said PlayStation 4 was pawned in Chicago an hour after alleged robbery.

ALSIP, IL -- Alsip police were in court seeking an arrest warrant for a man in connection to a Craigslist deal that ended in an armed robbery.

Orlando Wilkins, 19, of Robbins, is wanted on a theft charge. An Alsip police officer told Cook County Judge Peter Felice that on Oct. 22, a seller placed an ad to sell a PlayStation 4 and had arranged to meet a prospective buyer.

The buyer and seller met in the White Castle parking lot at 12156 S. Cicero Ave., Alsip. The police officer told the judge the deal ended in an armed robbery. An hour later, the seller learned that the video game system had been pawned in Chicago.

The seller did not identify the buyer. Wilkins is only charged with theft, not the armed robbery, the cop said.

The PlayStation 4 is valued at $120; the seller was peddling it on Craigslist for $250.

Wilkins last known address is the 13400 block of S. Kildare in Robbins. The judge issued an arrest warrant for $3,000.
