Meet Firefighters, Put Out Fires And More At Alsip Fire Open House

ALSIP, IL — In honor of Fire Prevention Week, the Alsip Fire Department is hosting an open house Saturday, Oct. 8. The open house runs from 1 to 3:30 p.m. at Alsip Firehouse #2, 11946 S. Laramie Ave.

If your kids love fire engines, bring them over to the firehouse where they can slide down the fire pole and experience the thrill of watching an air med helicopter land and take off. Other activities include photo props, kids hose props, and side-by-side burns.

Enter a raffle to win breakfast at the firehouse, Snacks, giveaways, safety train rides and bouncy houses are also featured.
