Resident Incarnation Priest, Msgr. R. George Sarauskas, Dies At 77
Visitation and Mass for Monsignor R. George Sarauskas, resident priest at Incarnation Church, set for July 11

CRESTWOOD, IL — Monsignor R. George Sarauskas, passed away after a lengthy illness on June 25, at the age of 77 years. Beloved son of the late Mary and Stanley Sarauskas. Loving brother of Lynn (David) Leonard and the late Ted Sarauskas. Fond uncle of Karen (Scott) Grzybowski and Sara (Dan) Potter. Dear great-uncle of Kate and Julia Grzybowski and Olivia and Jackson Potter.
Ordained in 1973, Sarauskas served many positions of importance in the Archdiocese of Chicago. During the 1980s, Sarauskas served as director of research and planning for the archdiocese, appointed to that post by Cardinal Joseph Bernardin.
He served as administrator, St. Anthony Church, Chicago, 1983-1990; executive director aid to Eastern Europe and the National Conference of Catholic Bishops, Washington, since 1990. Sarauskas also served as the director of Lithuanian apostolate, 1986-1990.

The monsignor was the resident priest of Incarnation Church in Crestwood.
Visitation will take place Monday, July 11, at Incarnation Catholic Church, 5757 W. 127th Street, Crestwood from 9:30 A.M. until time of Mass 11:00 A.M. Interment will be private.
