One Arrested In Alsip Wedding Party Fracas

Alsip police arrived at Chateau Bu-Sche at what is being described as a "large unruly wedding party."

ALSIP, IL -- Police broke up a massive fight Sunday evening at an Alsip banquet facility. One person was arrested for battery to a police officer. There were no reported injuries to police officers or patrons, according to an Alsip police news release.

Around 8:34 p.m. Feb. 25, the Alsip Police Department responded to a large disturbance at Chateau-Bu-Sche in the 11500 block of Cicero Avenue. Responding officers arrived on the scene and encountered a “large unruly wedding party.” Alsip PD requested assistance from other nearby police departments to disperse the crowd.

A video of the fracas submitted by a reader showed people streaming out of the banquet facility and dozens of police squad cars parked in Chateau Bu-Sche’s circular drive. Contrary to earlier reports, there was no armed subject, Alsip police said.
