Pannenkoek, Shops, Dancing And More Highlight Elim Dutch Festival

Elim Christian Services Dutch Festival offers cuisine, Dutch shops, dancing, children's activities and culture Saturday, Sept. 28.

CRESTWOOD, IL — Step back into the Old World at Elim Christian Services’ 28th annual Dutch Fest this Saturday, Sept. 28. Dutch Fest runs from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Elim’s main campus, 13020 S. Central Ave., Crestwood, with free admission, parking and shuttle bus service for all who attend.

There is fun for all at Dutch Festival! From 7:30-10am, you can enjoy a free (donations accepted) Pannenkoek “pancake” Breakfast, followed by shopping at the Farmer’s Market and Elim’s Dutch Village shops that open at 8am.

There is plenty of entertainment at this year’s Dutch Festival, including Chris Stapleton tribute band Broken Halos, Midwest Dueling Pianos, Dutch “Wooden Shoe” Dancers, Elim’s Worship Team, and reptile shows. Kids have their own special area that includes a petting zoo, train rides, pony rides, and games.

The Dutch Festival food court features traditional Dutch cuisine, like banket (pastries with almond filling), hutspot (beef and potatoes), and oliebollen (Dutch pastry), as well as traditional American favorites, like pizza, hamburgers, hot dogs, and more.
