Sex Predator Past Due On Sex Offender Registration: Cops
The man, whose last known address is in Alsip, missed the deadline to register as a sex offender with Illinois State Police, police said.

ALSIP, IL -- A man whose last known address is in Alsip missed a deadline to register as a sex offender, prosecutors said. Brett Fanning, 46, appeared before Cook County Judge Donald Havis on a charge of failure to register as a sex offender. Fanning was convicted of criminal sexual abuse by force in Minnesota.
The prosecutor said that Fanning was required to register as a sex offender by Nov. 27, 2018, but missed the deadline because he was in Minnesota. According to the Illinois Sex Offender Registry, Fanning is a sexual predator who has failed to maintain accurate registration records as required by law. The victim was 28, and Fanning was 36 at the time of the offense.
After being notified Jan. 16 that he was past due on his annual registration, the assistant public defender told the judge that Fanning turned himself into Alsip police.
