Shred Personal Documents For Free Friday At Apollo Recreation Center

Sen. Bill Cunningham and Rep. Mary Gill will host at free shredding event Friday, Aug. 4, at Apollo Recreation Center in Alsip.

ALSIP, IL — Destroy your personal documents for free by taking them to a drive-thru paper shredding event in Alsip this Friday, Aug. 4. Bring your boxes of papers to be shredded from 10 a.m. to noon at Apollo Recreation Center, 12521 S. Kostner Ave., Alsip. The shredding event is sponsored by Sen. Bill Cunningham (18th District) and Rep. Mary Gill (35th District).

Shredding documents can reduce the risk for identity theft by destroying such items as credit card applications, utility bills, bank statements and other documents that may contain your personal information, including.

  • 2-box maximum, residential shredding only
  • No electronics
  • Cardboard boxes cannot be left at the event
