Sparks Fly Over Ozinga Field For Free Community Fireworks Show Friday

Pack a picnic basket and head over to Ozinga Field, Friday, July 1, for a free family flick and fabulous fireworks display in Crestwood.

CRESTWOOD, IL — Ozinga Field, home of the Windy City ThunderBolts, will open its gates to area residents for fireworks and a movie Friday, July 1. The Independence Day event is FREE to attend.
Fans are welcome to walk on to the stadium's synthetic turf field and enjoy a picnic in the park.

Gates open at 6 p.m. The Disney family flick, “Encanto,” will be beamed on the Windy City Thunderbolts' video board at 7 p.m. After the movie, there will be an awesome firework show will be put on that is sure to dazzle and amaze, so start practicing your “oooo’s” and “ahaa’s.”

Outside food and drinks are allowed in the ballpark for the event. Fans are asked to help keep the ballpark clean by picking up food and litter and throwing it away, even spilled popcorn. Lawn chairs are allowed on the field, but chairs must have flat rubber bottoms so as not to pierce the turf. This will be strictly enforced. No peanuts or seed products are allowed inside the stadium.
