Tip Leads Police to 28 Baggies of Heroin, Cash: Prosecutor
Harvey man arrested in parking lot of Alsip motel where police find heroin and cash in his car, prosecutor said.

ALSIP, IL -- A Harvey man was arrested in a motel parking lot after Alsip police found him possession of heroin, prosecutors said in court.
Courtney Ferguson, 36, appeared before Cook County Judge Peter Felice on a felony charge of manufacture and delivery, and misdemeanor resisting arrest. Ferguson was arrested on Oct. 17.
Acting on a tip from a confidential source, Alsip police officers surrounded Ferguson’s vehicle in the parking lot of the Key Motel at 11910 S. Cicero Ave., the prosecutor said.

Ferguson allegedly fled on a foot and disobeyed numerous police commands to stop. He was apprehended, with 28 baggies of what later field-tested positive for heroin along with $400 cash, the prosecutor said.
The prosecutor said that a police K9 also found more than $1,000 cash inside Ferguson’s vehicle.

Bail was set at $30,000. Ferguson is due back in court Nov. 10 in Bridgeview.
