Windy City ThunderBolts Close Out 2021 Season With 5-Game Home Stand

CRESTWOOD, IL — It’s the Windy City ThunderBolts close out the 2021 season with a five-game home stand, when the Bolts take on the Gateway Grizzlies (Sept. 7 to Sept. 9) and Joliet Slammers (Sept. 10 and Sept. 11) at Ozinga Field, 14011 Kenton Ave., Crestwood.

The Bolts’ season-closing home stand feature the final Value Tuesday, final Military/Senior Wednesday and the final Wresting Thursday. This coming weekend, Saturday and Sunday, catch the annual Super Mega Fireworks Spectacular. Summer is over, so visit Ozinga Field in Crestwood before the season ends as well.

Per the mask mandate put into effect by Cook County related to indoor public spaces, all fans, regardless of vaccination status, will be required to wear a mask when inside the restrooms, box office, souvenir shop, suite level, and any other area of the stadium that is not outdoors.

Home Stand Preview

7:05 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 7: It is the FINAL "Value Tuesday" of the year when all box seats in the ballpark and hot dogs cost just $2. Don't forget that all kids run the bases after every home game.

7:05 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 8: Every Wednesday is Military Appreciation Day when any veteran or active military member receives two tickets to that day's game. Just walk up to the ballpark box office on the day of any Wednesday home game and show your military ID. Also, on Wednesday nights only, all seniors 55-years of age and older get a free ticket to that night's game. Free senior tickets available on the night of the game at the box office only, just walk up. All kids run the bases after every home game.

7:05 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 9: It is the FINAL White Castle Wrestling Thursday of the year. The first 500 fans 21-years of age and older will receive a pint glass from Lakeshore Beverage. Amazing beer specials will be served all night long courtesy of Bud Light, including $1 retro beers (Busch, Colt 45, Genesee Cream Ale, Natural Light, Old Milwaukee); $2.25 Bud, Bud Light, Mic Ultra, PBR, Old Style 16-oz cans and draft. Finally, all Craft Beer selections are just $3.50. After the game, Zelo Pro performs their fantastic hour long postgame wrestling show presented by White Castle. 7:05 p.m. Friday, Sept. 10: The final weekend of the season finishes with a SUPER MEGA Fireworks Weekend. The shows on the final weekend will be longer, brighter, and the best shows of the year. Kids run the bases after every home game in 2021.
