Worth Township Plans Huge Recycling Event
Recycle old electronics and TVs, and bring unused meds and documents for shredding Saturday, Aug. 28 to Worth Township Center.
ALSIP, IL — If you have documents that need shredding, an old TV to get rid of, or unused prescription or expired over-the-counter medications to dispose off, bring them to the Worth Township Center, 11601 S. Pulaski Road. The township will be collecting recyclables from residents from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 28, or until the truck is full.
Shred those pre-approved credit card applications or other personal documents that may leave you open to identity theft. Each vehicle is limited to two boxes.
The recycling event is also accepting TVs (one per household) and other electronics, including cable (all types), calculators, cell phones, computer hardware, laptops, desktop computers, fax machines, printers, handheld devices, hard drives, motherboards and USB.

Everything is on a first come, first served basis, or until the trunk is full. COVID-19 protocol will be followed, face masks and social distancing required. For more information, call 708-371-2900.
This event is being hosted Worth Township Supervisor Patricia Joan Murphy in partnership with Cook County Sheriff Tom Dart, Sen. Bill Cunningham, Rep. Fran Hurley, Rep. Kelly Burke and MWRD Commissioner Mariyana Spyropoulos.
