14 Men Arrested at Arlington Heights Motel in Prostitution Stings
The arrests were part of a national operation last month led by the Cook Co. Sheriff's Office.
ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — A national prostitution crackdown last month led to the arrest of 14 men at an Arlington Heights motel, according to police.
The sting operation—called the National Johns Suppression Initiative—ran July 6 and July 28, and police used a bogus online prostitution ad to lure unsuspecting "johns" to a motel near Algonquin and Arlington Heights roads, police said. All the suspects apprehended in the operation were charged with solicitation of a sexual act.
The Cook County Sheriff's Office coordinated the 18-state national coalition of 38 law enforcement agencies involved in the operation, which arrested 1,358 accused sex buyers and 71 alleged sex traffickers, according to a sheriff's office statement. The initiative also "recovered 32 underage girls lured into human trafficking," the statement added.

The sheriff's office made 230 arrests during the operation, including arresting a 15-year-old boy trying to buy sex, the statement said.
The following is a list of the men arrested and charged in the Arlington Heights sting. An additional man was charged, but the charges were later dropped.
