$1M Winning Lottery Ticket Sold In Elk Grove Village
The Illinois Lottery said it marks the third $1 million winner in less than two weeks in Illinois.
ELK GROVE VILLAGE, IL — Someone in Elk Grove Village should be feeling pretty lucky today. The Illinois Lottery announced Wednesday a winning $1 million Mega Millions lottery ticket was sold at Lively Liquor, 1170 E Higgins Road. According to Illinois Lottery, it marks the third $1 million winner in Illinois lottery games in less than two weeks.
The win came from Tuesday night's Mega Millions drawing. The estimated jackpot for the next drawing of that lottery on Friday is $970 million as there was no grand prize winner.
Speaking of large jackpots, Wednesday's Powerball drawing is for an estimated $730 million, the fourth largest Powerball prize in game history and the sixth highest jackpot in U.S. lottery history. Powerball prizes have been popping up in the pocketbooks of players across the state, according to Illinois Lottery. Since the jackpot began its roll on Sept. 19, 2020, Illinois Lottery players have cashed in on $6,660,079 million in Powerball prizes.
