First Friday in June! FREE Community Art Show

On the first Friday of every month, Moon Art Gallery showcases a different local artist alongside Moon Art Gallery’s collection.

This month, we are pleased to showcase the talent of Sue Turayhi. Sue was born and raised in Baghdad with a Bachelor of Art in Design in 1976. She then worked at the Iraqi National Museum and later worked at the archeological site of ancient Babylon. Here she was immersed in Iraqi antiquities and history. To advance her studies, she migrated to Chicago. In 1980, she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Design from the University of Illinois-Chicago. Sue became a fully licensed interior designer with National Council for Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ) Certification in 1987. Sue participated in an annual collective art exhibit and Solo Exhibits. She is a member of the Buffalo Grove Arts Guild League and Long Grove Arts League.
