ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — The following information comes from the Arlington Heights Police Department and court records as a record of police activity, including incidents reported by the public and those arrested by police. Criminal charges represent accusations by the state and are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the Cook County Clerk of the Circuit Court.

  • Francisco A. Arturo Morales, 47, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of alcohol with a blood alcohol concentration level over .08, and was arrested at 2:50 p.m. Jan. 9, at S. Arlington Heights and E. Central roads. Bond was set at $3,000 a court date of Feb. 24 was assigned.
  • Kyle Brown, 21, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of alcohol with a blood alcohol concentration level over .08, speeding 26-34 mph over the speed limit, and was arrested at 2:54 a.m. Jan. 13, at E. Rand Road and Lake Arlington Drive. Bond was set at $1,000 and a court date of Feb. 10 was assigned.
  • Cole R. Hagstrom, 29, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of alcohol over .08, illegal transportation of alcohol by a driver, and was arrested at 3:09 a.m. Jan. 10, in the 1000 block of E. Davis Street. Bond was set at $1,000 and a court date of Jan. 27 was assigned.
  • Jorge D. Ramos Lemus, 31, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, and was arrested at 10:46 p.m. Jan. 10, at W. Dundee Road and N. Arlington Heights Road. Bond was set at $3,000 and a court date of March 3 was assigned.
  • David R. Zaletanski, 31, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, and was arrested at 8:41 p.m. Jan. 13, at Euclid Avenue. Bond was set at $3,000 and a court date of March 3 was assigned.

SUSPENDED/REVOKED DRIVER'S LICENSE

  • Anthony R. Cusi, 31, is accused of driving on a suspended license, and was arrested at 7:57 p.m. Jan. 9, at N. Arlington Heights Road and E. Oakton Street. Bond was set at $2,500 and a court date of Feb. 9 was assigned.
  • Kamil Gorlo, 37, is accused of driving on a suspended license, speeding 26-34 mph over the limit, and was arrested at 4:30 a.m. Jan. 14, at Frontage Road and N. Windsor Drive. Bond was set at $2,500 and a court date of March 2 was assigned.

John Giannakaris, 40, is accused of obstructing identification, and was arrested at 6:55 p.m. Jan. 11, in the 2100 block of S. Arlington Heights Road.

DOMESTIC BATTERY

Lech Piotrowski, 35, is accused of domestic battery, and was arrested at 10:55 a.m. Jan. 9, in Arlington Heights. Bond was set at $10,000 and a court date of Jan. 28 was assigned.

AGGRAVATED ARSON

Paul Strusiner, 80, is accused of aggravated arson, and was arrested at 1:37 a.m. Jan. 7, in the 400 block of W. Rand Road. Bond was set at $75,000 and a court date of Jan. 21 was assigned. Read more: Man, 80, Charged With Felony Arson In Apartment Building Fire

NO DRIVER'S LICENSE

William M. Wagner, Jr., 27, is accused of driving without a license, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, and was arrested at 1:42 a.m. Jan. 10, at E. Hawthorne Street and N. Arlington Heights Road. Bond was set at $2,500 and a court date of Jan. 28 was assigned.

INCIDENTS

BURGLARY TO MOTOR VEHICLE

A resident of the 1500 block of W. Roanoke Drive reported at 8 a.m. Jan. 3, someone entered their vehicle and removed several items sometime during the overnight hours. There were no signs of forced entry.

SUSPICIOUS INCIDENT

A resident in the 1600 block of W. Suffield Court called police at 8:16 a.m. Jan. 3, to report two people on video surveillance attempting to enter vehicles in the driveway at around 2 a.m.

HIT-AND-RUN

  • A person reported at 7:32 p.m. Jan. 4, their red Audi was sideswiped by an unknown vehicle while it was parked and unoccupied in the parking garage at Northwest Community Hospital, 800 block of W. Central Road.
  • A resident in the 1700 block of Woods Drive called police at 3:26 p.m. Jan. 5, to report someone's vehicle struck the complainant’s gray Nissan Sentra while parked and unoccupied in the parking lot.
  • A person reported at 4:40 p.m. Jan. 7, a blue Sedan rear-ended their vehicle at Palatine Road and Kennicott Drive, and fled westbound on Palatine.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO PROPERTY

An employee at Metropolis, 100 block of W. Campbell Street, reported at 1:48 p.m. Jan. 6, someone damaged a television on the second floor.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO PROPERTY

A person called police at 2:09 p.m. Jan. 7, to report someone forced entry into their storage locker in the 700 block of E. Algonquin Road. The incident occurred over an unknown time period.

RETAIL THEFT

An employee of Ulta Beauty, 0-100 block of W. Rand Road, reported at 3:04 p.m. Jan. 7, two men stole a variety of fragrances and fled the scene in a green Ford Escape southbound on Rand Road.

BURGLARY

A customer at XSport Fitness, 900 block of W. Dundee Road, reported at 6:05 p.m. Jan. 7, someone forced entry into their gym locker the day before and stole a wallet.

VANDALISM

A resident in the 700 block of E. Park Street reported at 10:09 a.m. Jan. 8, someone egged the complainant’s house sometime during the overnight hours.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO VEHICLE

A person reported at 4:11 p.m. Jan. 9, someone damaged the front passenger's side window to a gray Toyota Camry in the 0-100 block of N. Dryden Avenue.

SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE

Security at Citibank, 1800 block of N. Arlington Heights Road, called police at 2:30 a.m. Jan. 10, to report two men, dressed in all black, exit a black Jeep Cherokee and look into unoccupied vehicles in the parking lot. The men left the area when they saw security.
