3 Charged With Felonies In 2022 Gunshot Incident: Palatine PD
A Palatine man and a juvenile are accused of attempted first degree murder stemming from an investigation into the October 2022 incident.
PALATINE, IL — An "extensive" investigation into an October 2022 gunshot incident has resulted in three arrests, according to the Palatine Police Department. The charges stem from an incident in the 1300 block of N. Baldwin Court when police received a report of shots fired.
Police said no injuries were reported, but a firearm was recovered, along with multiple bullet fragments and shell casings.
The three people arrested Wednesday for their involvement in the incident are:

- Manuel Gil, 21, of the 1000 block of E. Lilac Drive, Palatine — felony attempted first degree murder
- Joe M. Zoyohua, 20, of the 3400 block of Mary Avenue, Park Ridge — felony aggravated unlawful use of a weapon
- male juvenile — felony attempted first degree murder
The Cook County State's Attorney's Office approved the felony charges. All three were due in court Thursday for detention hearings.
