43-Year-Old Woman Found Strangled To Death In Schaumburg Home, Man In Custody: Police
Officers were conducting a well-being check at the home Thursday night when they found the deceased woman.
SCHAUMBURG, IL — A 43-year-old woman was found strangled to death Thursday night during a well-being check at her home, and a man has been taken into custody.
Schaumburg police tell Patch officers were responding to a 911 call at around 9:20 p.m. in the 1700 block of Weathersfield Way. When police entered the home, they found the woman deceased. A man, who police say was known to the victim, was also found inside and taken into custody.
According to Schaumburg police, the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office has determined the victim died from strangulation, and the incident is being investigated as a homicide.

Police are not providing any information on the victim until family members have been notified. The Cook County Medical Examiner's Office lists her age as 43.
Schaumburg police said there are no known threats to the community at this time.
