6 More Businesses Fined for Selling Alcohol to Minors
The Arlington Heights Police Department found 13 businesses in violation of liquor license laws during an undercover sting this past year.
ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — The village of Arlington Heights has seen a high number of liquor license violations at businesses in town this past year. On Monday, Mayor Tom Hayes handed out fines to six additional businesses accused of selling alcohol to a minor during a police department sting in 2019, the Daily Herald reports.
The most recent businesses to receive fines were: Courtyard by Marriott, 3700 N. Wilke Road; Birch River Grill, 75 W. Algonquin Road; Carlos & Carlos Ristorante, 27 W. Campbell St.; Nickol Knoll Golf Club, 3800 Kennicott Ave.; Osteria Trulli, 1510 E. Hintz Road; and Wrap It Up, 719 E. Dundee Road, according to the Daily Herald. Courtyard by Marriott owners were ordered to pay a $2,500 fine for the hotel's second violation while the remaining businesses received a $750 fine.
Earlier in the summer, six other businesses were cited for selling alcohol to minors following the undercover police operation where 13 total violations were recorded. One of the businesses accused of selling alcohol to a minor, California Pizza Kitchen, closed in June.
