$800K Lucky Day Lotto Jackpot Ticket Sold In Elk Grove Village

ELK GROVE VILLAGE, IL — An Illinois Lottery player is holding an $800,000 winning ticket purchased in Elk Grove Village.

The Lucky Day Lotto ticket matched all five numbers in the Monday, Aug. 24 evening drawing, according to the Illinois Lottery.

The winning numbers were 4-24-28-31-42.

The ticket was sold at the 7-Eleven at 1601 W. Nerge Road in Elk Grove Village.

For selling the jackpot-winning ticket, the retailer will receive an $8,000 bonus, equal to 1 percent of the prize.

The winner has one year from the drawing date to claim the prize. Lottery officials encourage winners to sign the back of their ticket and keep it in a safe place until they are ready to claim it.

Millions In Lucky Day Lotto Prizes This Year

So far in 2026, more than 7.6 million winning Lucky Day Lotto tickets have been sold statewide, with players claiming nearly $45 million in prizes, according to the Illinois Lottery.

Lucky Day Lotto is an Illinois-only game with drawings twice daily, at 12:40 p.m. and 9:22 p.m. Jackpots start at $100,000.

Tickets are available at Illinois Lottery retailers, online and through the Illinois Lottery app.
