Aggravated Battery, DUI Arrests: Arlington Heights Police Blotter

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — An aggravated battery arrest and an 18-year-old charged with DUI were among the cases included in the Arlington Heights Police Department's latest arrest report.

The Oct. 2-9 blotter also included four domestic battery arrests and a separate battery arrest.

AGGRAVATED BATTERY, WARRANT ARREST

Jeff Gary Gaspard, 36, whose last known address was in Palatine, was arrested at 5:39 p.m. Oct. 6, in the 900 block of East Golf Road in Schaumburg. He was charged with aggravated battery involving strangulation and aggravated battery in a public place. The report also listed a warrant arrest for violation of bail bond.

His court date was set for 9 a.m. Oct. 30, in Room 108 at the Rolling Meadows courthouse.

DOMESTIC BATTERY

Wilson Melendez, 36, of Mount Prospect, was arrested at 6:35 p.m. Oct. 4, in the 0-100 block of West Rand Road. He was charged with domestic battery involving physical contact. His court date was set for 9 a.m. Oct. 27, in Room 207 at the Rolling Meadows courthouse.

Kevin J. Noel, 35, of Arlington Heights, was arrested at 12:56 p.m. Oct. 6, in the 800 block of West Central Road. He was charged with domestic battery involving physical contact. His court date was set for 9 a.m. Oct. 28, in Room 207 at the Rolling Meadows courthouse.

Gina A. Mendes, 39, of Burbank, was arrested at 9:28 a.m. Oct. 8, in the 100 block of East Hintz Road. She was charged with domestic battery involving bodily harm. Her court date was set for 9 a.m. Oct. 30, in Room 207 at the Rolling Meadows courthouse.

Octavian G. Wiseman, 19, of Davenport, Iowa, was arrested at 10:20 a.m. Oct. 2, at the Maywood courthouse. He was charged with domestic battery involving bodily harm. His court date was set for 9 a.m. Oct. 27, in Room 207 at the Rolling Meadows courthouse.

DUI

Konrad Piwko, 18, of Arlington Heights, was arrested at 11:04 p.m. Oct. 8, in the 1200 block of North Ridge Avenue. He was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving with a blood alcohol concentration of 0.08 or more, illegal transportation or possession of alcohol by a driver and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

He was cited and released. His court date was set for 9 a.m. Oct. 30 in Room 104 at the Rolling Meadows courthouse.

BATTERY

James A. Thomas, 25, of Des Plaines, was arrested at 2:22 a.m. Oct. 4, in the 100 block of West Campbell Street. He was charged with battery involving physical contact.

He was cited and released. His court date was set for 9 a.m. Oct. 23 in Room 103 at the Rolling Meadows courthouse.
