Hoffman Estates nonprofit honors Endeavor Health Northwest Community Hospital partnership

Children’s Advocacy Center of North and Northwest Cook County (CAC) presented Endeavor Health Northwest Community Hospital with the 2026 Mark Parr Champion for Children Award on May 7 during CAC’s annual WONDER fundraiser.

The award recognizes the hospital’s 17-year partnership supporting children and families impacted by abuse and violence across the north and northwest suburbs through financial support and community collaboration.

“Endeavor Health shows up for kids and community in their work every day, and they show up for kids and community at CAC with financial support for our services year after year, 17 years to be exact,” said CAC CEO Melanie Pignotti in presenting the award. “We are so thankful that they partner with us to improve the lives of families impacted by abuse and violence, and we know that we are stronger together!”

“Our missions align through a shared focus on creating safe, supportive environments where children and families can heal and thrive,” said Stephanie Chan Vo, Endeavor Health’s system director of community impact and engagement. “CAC’s work – grounded in empathy, collaboration and trust – ensures that children are heard and supported through some of their most difficult experiences. That same belief shapes our approach at Endeavor Health, where we focus on helping people be their best by delivering care that is safe, seamless and personal,” she added.

In accepting the award, Northwest Community Hospital Chief Medical Officer Dr. Tom Oryszczak said, “At Endeavor Health, we know healthcare extends beyond our walls. Partnerships like this help us better support the whole child and family. Together, we are building a more connected system of care that supports healing, resilience and well-being.”

CAC provides forensic interviews, family advocacy and trauma therapy services for children impacted by abuse and violence throughout 38 north and northwest Cook County suburbs.
