The event will feature live entertainment, demonstrations, games, food and opportunities for residents to connect with local first responders and community organizations.

"This event is about bringing the community together," Police Chief Nick Pecora said. "'Night in the Heights' gives residents an opportunity to connect with the officers and community partners who serve Arlington Heights every day, while enjoying a fun summer evening with family and friends."

Valius will perform rock hits and patriotic-inspired songs celebrating America’s 250th anniversary at the North School Park bandshell.

The event will also include Arlington Heights Police Department K-9s, demonstrations from the Arlington Heights Fire Department, food trucks, family games and activities, the Arlington Heights Memorial Library Bookmobile, community organizations, interactive displays and more.

Several roads surrounding the event will be closed to traffic, and nearby street parking will be limited. Visitors are encouraged to use one of the village parking garages.

Traffic control assistance will be provided for pedestrians crossing Arlington Heights Road at St. James Street.
