Missing Schaumburg Man's Vehicle Found At Busse Woods

SCHAUMBURG, IL — Schaumburg police are asking for the public's help locating a 43-year-old resident who has been missing for nearly a month and may be without medication needed for several medical conditions.

Anthony Richtert was last seen by a family member leaving his Schaumburg home at approximately 8 p.m. June 25, according to a community alert issued Friday by the Schaumburg Police Department.

Police said Richtert's family and friends are concerned about his safety and well-being because he has medical conditions requiring medication that he did not take with him.

Detectives later found Richtert's vehicle parked and unoccupied at the North Grove 2 area of Busse Woods in Elk Grove Village.

Several searches have been conducted in the area, and Schaumburg detectives continue coordinating additional searches with the Forest Preserves of Cook County Police Department, officials said.

Richtert was last seen wearing a blue T-shirt, black shorts, white socks, sandals and a baseball cap.

Police said the investigation remains active and that officers continue using available resources to locate him.
