Patch welcomes Cook County Department of Public Health (CCDPH) to our list of advertisers! As one of our partners, we’d like to provide some insight into their campaign…
CCDPH, the state certified public health department for most of suburban Cook County (SCC), recently launched a new campaign aimed at SCC residents who smoke. The campaign, “Nothing to Kid About,” features ads depicting young children who are exposed to secondhand smoke through their daily activities and their desire to “quit smoking.” The campaign links smokers to the Illinois Tobacco Quitline for help and hard hitting facts about secondhand exposure and the negative health effects on kids.
Tobacco use is one of the biggest threats to you and your family’s health. Smoking and secondhand smoke are the leading causes of heart disease, lung disease and cancer related death. In order to improve your health and protect the health of others around you, here are a few things you can do right now.
