Arlington Heights Council of PTA's Awards Nearly $17,000 in Scholarships
13 students who previously attend AHSC25 schools for at least three years were each awarded a $1,300 scholarship as they head off to college in the fall.

Thirteen graduating seniors who are heading to college were each recently awarded with a $1,300 scholarship from the Arlington Heights Council of PTA's.
To be considered, students had to have attended Arlington Heights School District 25 schools for at least three years, maintained a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA on a 5.0 scale and be planning to attend college in the fall, either part or full-time.
Of the more than 50 scholarship applicants, the following students are recipients this year:

Carolyn DeSalvo
Katelyn McNally
Nicholas Schwingbeck
Rolling Meadows High School
Lisa Dieckman
Madeline Hume

Applications were reviewed anonymously by the PTA Scholarship Committee, principals and administrators at AHSD25 schools. Basic efforts in the classroom, community and school involvement, work experience and motivation also were taken into account when determining the recipients.
Since its inception in 1973, the Arlington Heights Council of PTA's Scholarship Program has awarded approximately $400,000 in scholarships. Funds are provided through memorial donations, pledges and the purchase of recognition certificates by PTA units in AHSD25.
