Arlington Heights Police, FBI Investigate Bank Robbery

A Chase Bank in Arlington Heights was robbed Thursday afternoon.

Arlington Heights police and the FBI are investigating a bank robbery that occurred Thursday afternoon.

Authorities are looking for a male offender who is accused of entering a Chase Bank at 43 East Golf Road just before 1:30 p.m., presenting a note to a teller that demanded money and inferring that he had a weapon, according to an Arlington Heights Police Department press release.

The teller provided the suspect with an undetermined amount of money. Without further conversation, the offender left the facility, according to the news release.

Witnesses observed him running through the parking lot and crossing Golf Road into a shopping center.

The suspect is described as a black male in his late 20s with dark hair. He was 6-feet to 6-feet, two-inches tall and a large build.

He was last seen wearing sunglasses, a dark waist length jacket with a horizontal red stripe across the chest and along the upper sleeves and blue jeans.
