Arlington Heights Police Hold Free Car Seat Check

The event will be held on Sept. 19.

The Arlington Heights Police Department will be hosting a free car seat check on Sept. 19 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Police will ensure you have chosen the right car seat and that it is used properly. The Police Department is located at 33 S. Arlington Heights Road, adjacent to Village Hall.

  • Here are several important reminders about using car seats:
  • Car seat must be rear-facing until age 2.
  • Forward-facing seat used until the maximum height and weight limits.
  • Use Booster seat until the seat belt fits across the shoulder and hips.
  • Use seat belt forever after.
  • Kids must sit in the back seat until age 13.
