Arlington Heights Students Awarded Prestigious Engineering Internship
Garret Matchen and James Kennedy will expand education at Christopher B. Burke Engineering, Ltd.

Arlington Heights’ own Garret Matchen and James Kennedy have accepted an internship at the prestigious engineering firm Christopher B. Burke Engineering, Ltd. (CBBEL), getting the opportunity to expand their education.
These two engineering majors begin their internships in May and will be trained in drainage and mechanical engineering.
“Our intern program is crucial in fostering the next generation of engineers,” says CBBEL founder and President Christopher B. Burke. “It builds a bridge between the academic world and the working world and gives students the ability to explore their career interests and expand their professional network.”

Guided by founder and President Christopher B. Burke, CBBEL boasts an Illinois-based staff of 190 and an expansive list of specializations, including civil, municipal, transportation, water resource, mechanical, structural, construction, traffic, and environmental engineering and environmental resource services.
