Arlington Heights Students Earn Honors At Hofstra, Alabama

Hofstra University

Alexander Dmitriev, of Arlington Heights, excelled during the spring 2026 semester at Hofstra University, achieving a GPA of at least 3.5 to earn a spot on the Dean's List.

Dmitriev is majoring in international business.

The University of Alabama

A total of 14,306 students enrolled during spring semester 2026 at The University of Alabama were named to the dean's list with an academic record of 3.5 or above, or the president's list with an academic record of 4.0.

Local students include:

• Ari Kemperas, of Arlington Heights, was named to the President's List.
• Alexander Konopka, of Arlington Heights, was named to the Dean's List.
• Gabriella Sowizrol, of Arlington Heights, was named to the Dean's List.
• Taylor Woolsey, of Arlington Heights, was named to the President's List.
• Gianna Gagliano, of Arlington Heights, was named to the Dean's List.
• Natalie Larkowski, of Arlington Heights, was named to the President's List.
• Emily Lifka, of Arlington Heights, was named to the Dean's List.
• Aidan McLeod, of Arlington Heights, was named to the Dean's List.
• Danny Wong, of Arlington Heights, was named to the Dean's List.
• Ryan Ziebka, of Arlington Heights, was named to the Dean's List.

College of Charleston

Dominic McKevitt, of Arlington Heights, graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in sociology from the College of Charleston.

The 2026 spring commencement ceremonies were held May 7-9.
