Armed Robbery Occurs Outside Des Plaines Restaurant: Police

DES PLAINES, IL — An armed robbery occurred Thursday night outside a Mannheim Road restaurant. According to police, no injuries were reported.

The incident occurred at around 9:02 pm. Dec. 19, outside of Marisco La Isla Dorada, 1916 Mannheim Road. Three customers — a 27-year-old male, a 32-year-old male and a 45-year-old female, all from Tennessee — had been approached by an unknown male wearing all black. He confronted the group, pointed a black handgun at their chest, and demanded their wallets. All three handed over their wallets, and the man fled the scene with around $1,100 in cash.
