SCHAUMBURG, IL — A 37-year-old Schaumburg man remains in jail following an incident last week in which police say he fired a handgun on a balcony in the 1200 block of Cambia Drive. Jacob Tamillo was charged with two counts of attempted murder for the Feb. 8 incident.

Tamillo, who was still behind bars Monday morning in the Cook County Jail, is due back in court Thursday.

According to police, officers responded to a parking lot on Cambia Drive at 8:20 p.m. Feb. 8, following a neighbor complaint via 911. While responding to the area, police heard gunshots. They located victims and witnesses, who said the shots came from a balcony. They also identified the shooter as Tamillo based on previous interactions with him from living in the neighborhood.
