Body Of Crystal Lake Man Found In Arlington Heights: Police

The Cook County Medical Examiner's Office pronounced the 49-year-old resident dead at 1 a.m. Saturday.

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — Police are investigating the discovery of the body of a deceased man, who was found in the 1500 block of W. Palatine Road early Saturday morning.

The deceased, identified as Aaron Blanchard, 49, was pronounced dead at 1 a.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.

Arlington Heights police told Patch that no foul play or suspicious circumstances are suspected in Blanchard's death, based on the findings of the medical examiner.

The man's body was discovered in a wooded area near Palatine Road and Route 53. Arlington Heights Deputy Chief Shawn Gyorke told Patch it is believed Blanchard was homeless and was temporarily living in the wooded area. His most recent known address was in Crystal Lake.

"Next of kin have been notified of the death," Gyorke said. "As of today’s date, the case remains open with the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office, but there were no overtly suspicious circumstances surrounding the case."
