BWiFF 2016 Call for Entries Now Open
The Blue Whiskey Independent Film Festival (BWiFF), entering its 7th year, is pleased to announce the 2016 call for entries are now open.

The Blue Whiskey Independent Film Festival (BWiFF), now entering its 7th year, is pleased to announce the 2016 call for entries are now open. The festival is seeking submissions in the following categories: Narrative Feature, Narrative Short, Documentary Feature, Documentary Short, Music Video, Series Pilot and Illinois Film. Discount Earlybird Deadline for entries is December 18, 2015. Full details are at www.bwiff.com.
BWiFF will be presenting the 2016 festival from July 24 - 31. This year, the festival exhibited over 30 films from around the globe that competed for a variety of awards that ranged in genre, production, performance and audience categories. Top honors went to Indiana film, Terrible Love; winner of Best Actor, Best Director and Best of Fest.
The programming staff is seeking a diverse, variety of films that support the festival’s mission of exhibiting stories driven by its characters. The festival offers an incentive to local filmmakers. Entrants submitting in the Illinois Film category are works produced in the state of Illinois or made by an Illinois-born filmmaker. These films can be of any length, style or genre. Selected films in this category will be eligible for the Best of Illinois Award (as well as other awards).

The Blue Whiskey Independent Film Festival is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization based in Palatine. The festival seeks out bold and innovative filmmakers that utilize story elements in a new and exciting way, presenting character-driven independent cinema that is fueled by the filmmaker’s passion for the art without large studio support.
