Meanwhile, the company is planning to open a store soon in Elk Grove Village.

Joe Caputo & Sons has closed grocery stores in Arlington Heights and Northbrook.
Both grocery stores were open less than two years. The Arlington Heights location at 325 E. Palatine Road opened in a former Dominick’s store in June 2014 while the Northbrook store opened, also in a former Dominick’s location, at 4125 Dundee Road in May 2014, according to the Daily Herald.
Store officials confirmed the closings Friday and said business was not good for either stores, the newspaper reports. Meanwhile, the grocer is hoping to open a store in Elk Grove village, also in a former Dominick’s location, by Thanksgiving, according to the Daily Herald.
