Car Broken Into While Parked At Hospital: Arlington Heights PD Blotter

The incident occurred on the fourth floor of the parking garage at Northwest Community Hospital, according to police.

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — The following information comes from the Arlington Heights Police Department and court records as a record of police activity, including incidents reported by the public and those arrested by police.   • Somi Chitrakar, 41, is accused of aggravated battery to a child under the age of 13, and was arrested April 30 at Kindercare, 1320 N. Arlington Heights. She was released and assigned a court date of June 7.
  • Barbara Mroczkowska, 64, is accused of battery, retail theft, and was arrested April 26 at Goodwill, 900 W. Algonquin Road. She was released and assigned a court date of June 4.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL

  • Janellyn M. Koch, 63, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of alcohol with a blood alcohol concentration level of .08 or more, and was arrested April 26 in the 700 block of W. Northwest Highway. She was released and assigned a court date of May 20.
  • Baloy Lagunas, 23, is accused of DUI alcohol, making an improper turn signal, and was arrested May 2 at E. Central Road and S. Cleveland Avenue. They were released and assigned a court date of May 28.

Javon M. Soares, 31, is accused of assault, and was arrested April 30 at the BP Station, 2250 S. Arlington Heights Road. He was released and assigned a court date of May 20.

INCIDENTS

BURGLARY TO MOTOR VEHICLE

  • A resident in the 400 block of McKone Court reported at 5 a.m. April 23, someone had entered her three vehicles — Nissan, Subaru, Infiniti — which had been parked in the driveway, and stole personal items. The person(s) left the in gray or silver Honda Civic.
  • A citizen called police to report that between 6 a.m. and 3 p.m. April 25, someone had entered her 2003 Kia and stole personal items while it was parked on the fourth floor of the garage at Northwest Community Hospital, 800 W. Central Road.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO VEHICLE

  • A citizen called police to report that between April 24 and April 25, someone had shattered the front passenger window on his 2010 Hyundai and tampered with the steering column.
  • A resident in the 1200 block of S. New Wilke Road reported that between April 26 and April 27, someone had shattered the front passenger window on his 2023 Kia and tampered with the steering column.
