Child Pornography Bust Made: Arlington Heights PD Blotter

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — The following information comes from the Arlington Heights Police Department and court records as a record of police activity, including incidents reported by the public and those arrested by police. Criminal charges represent accusations by the state and are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the Cook County Clerk of the Circuit Court.

DRIVING ON A SUSPENDED/REVOKED LICENSE

• Carlos Lopez Barrera, 27, is accused of driving on a suspended license, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, and was arrested at 6:18 p.m. Aug. 5, at W. Central and S. New Wilke roads. Bond was set at $2,500 and a court date of Sept. 21 was assigned.
• Darvon N. Sylvain, 28, is accused of driving on a suspended license, and was arrested at 8:30 p.m. Aug. 10, at W. Nichols and N. Wilke roads. Bond was set at $2,500 and a court date of Sept. 26 was assigned.

VIOLATION OF BAIL BOND

• Jenna E. Cole, 37, had a warrant for violation of bail bond, and was arrested at 1:29 a.m. Aug. 11, in the 2300 block of S. Arlington Heights Road. Bond was set at $9,000.
• Anthony L. Gentry, 44, had a warrant for violation of bail bond, and was arrested at 4:10 p.m. Aug. 5, in the 600 block of W. Rand Road. Bond was set at $3,000.

ASSAULT

Russell D. Disney, 33, is accused of aggravated assault, and was arrested at 12:49 a.m. Aug. 12, in the 2200 block of S. Arlington Heights Road. Bond was set at $100 and a court date of Aug. 31 was assigned.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE

• Jorge A. Hernandez Herrera, 23, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, and was arrested at 3:12 a.m. Aug. 7, at E. Rand Road and N. Beverly Lane. Bond was set at $1,000 and a court date of Aug. 31 was assigned.
• Walter Lipinski, 54, is accused of aggravated driving under the influence for three or more violations, driving under the influence of alcohol, resisting/obstructing a peace officer, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, illegal transportation of alcohol by a driver, and was arrested at 4:06 p.m. Aug. 5, in the 1200 block of S. Fernandez Avenue. Bond was set at $7,500 and a court date of Aug. 24 was assigned.
• Georgi Vasileve Panev, 42, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, and was arrested at 11:44 p.m. Aug. 9, in the 500 block of N. Hickory Avenue. Bond was set at $3,000 and a court date of Aug. 10 was assigned.
• James D. Piskura, 61, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of alcohol with a blood alcohol concentration level of .08 or more, and was arrested at 6:13 p.m. Aug. 10, at Memory Gardens, 2500 block of E. Euclid Avenue. Bond was set at $3,000 and a court date of Aug. 31 was assigned.

DOMESTIC BATTERY

• Jose Manuel M. Mendez Sanchez, 52, is accused of domestic battery, and was arrested at 4:52 p.m. Aug. 6, in the 1100 block of E. Algonquin Road. Bond was set at $2,000 and a court date of Aug. 31 was assigned.
• Mitchell A. Nowak, 50, is accused of domestic battery, resisting/obstructing a peace officer, and was arrested at 1:18 p.m. Aug. 11, in the 1200 block of Woodford Place. A bond hearing was set for Aug. 12.

IMPROPER USE OF REGISTRATION

Brian D. Russell, 37, is accused of improper use of registration, and was arrested at 8 p.m. Aug. 9, in the 60 block of W. Golf Road. Bond was set at $2,500 and a court date of Aug. 23 was assigned.

UNLAWFUL USE OF CANNABIS

Keir Y. Saunders, 45, is accused of unlawful use of cannabis in the passenger area of the motor vehicle by the driver, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, and was arrested at 1:46 p.m. Aug. 5, at E. Olive Street and N. Arlington Heights road. Bond was set at $2,500 and a court date of Sept. 20 was assigned.

CHILD PORNOGRAPHY

Scott W. Witz, 52, is accused of two counts of child pornography, unauthorized video recording of someone under the age of 18, and was arrested at 2:35 p.m. Aug. 9, at the Arlington Heights Police Department, 1400 block of N. Douglas Avenue. Bond was set at $50,000 and a court date of Sept. 13 was assigned.
