A Des Plaines man is accused of two felony counts of predatory criminal sexual assault and one felony count of aggravated kidnapping.

MOUNT PROSPECT, IL — A Des Plaines man is accused of three felony crimes — including predatory criminal sexual assault — following an incident earlier this month in Mount Prospect. Amado Gonzalez-Sanchez, 50, of the 140 block of Dover Drive, was arrested May 5 in connection with the incident, the Mount Prospect Police Department announced Wednesday.
Gonzalez-Sanchez, 50, is being held at the Cook County jail on $500,000 bail following a May 7 bond hearing. He also appeared in court Wednesday and is due back on May 24.
According to police, Gonzalez-Sanchez met a 12-year-old outside a business in the 1800 block of West Algonquin Road and then led the child into a back alley behind the business. Gonzalez-Sanchez forced the child to have sexual contact with him by verbally threatening them. A witness saw Gonzalez-Sanchez and the child in the back alley and called 911. Police arrived at the scene at around 4:56 p.m. and arrested Gonzalez-Sanchez.
