Christmas 2021 Grocery Store Hours In Arlington Heights

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — Last Christmas looked markedly different from years past as millions of Americans opted for smaller holiday celebrations amid a surge in coronavirus cases.

This year, however, as more and more Arlington Heights residents roll up their sleeves to get the COVID-19 vaccine, traditional — and larger — Christmas gatherings are almost guaranteed to make a jolly return.

While Thanksgiving was good practice for our return to Christmas dinners for 20, that doesn’t mean you won’t forget an ingredient or two when whipping up your favorite holiday side dish.

Have no fear — there’s a large selection of grocery stores open on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day for those emergency and last-minute shopping trips in Arlington Heights.

Here are the hours for grocery stores that will be open, along with a list of those that won’t:

Valli Produce: Open 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Christmas Eve. Closed on Christmas Day.

• International Plaza Shopping Center, 450 E Golf Road, Arlington Heights

Aldi: Stores will be open Christmas Eve, but hours will vary by location; closed on Christmas Day.

• 550 E Golf Road, Arlington Heights

Costco: Some stores will be open for limited hours on Christmas Eve, and all stores will be closed Christmas Day. Call ahead to confirm hours with your local store.

• 999 N Elmhurst Road, Mt Prospect

CVS: Many locations, including those open 24 hours, will be open regular hours on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day; however, some pharmacies may have reduced hours or be closed for the holiday. Customers are encouraged to call ahead to confirm hours at their preferred locations.

• Target, 1700 E Rand Road, Arlington Heights

Jewel-Osco: Stores close at 6 p.m. Christmas Eve and 9 p.m. New Year’s Eve. All stores are closed on Christmas Day, and will operate on normal hours on New Year’s Day.

• 1860 S Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights
• 122 N Vail Ave., Arlington Heights
• 440 E Rand Road, Arlington Heights

Mariano’s: stores will close at 4 p.m. Christmas Eve and remain closed through Christmas Day.

• 802 E Northwest Highway, Arlington Heights

Sam’s Club: Stores will be open until 6 p.m. Christmas Eve and will be closed on Christmas Day.

• 101 W Oakton St., Des Plaines

Target: Most stores will close at 8 p.m. Christmas Eve. All stores are closed Christmas Day.

• 1700 E Rand Road, Arlington Heights

Trader Joe’s: All stores will close at 6 p.m. Christmas Eve. Stores are closed Christmas Day.

• 17 W Rand Road, Arlington Heights

Walgreens: Walgreens stores will be open during regular business hours on Christmas Eve. Pharmacy hours vary by location. On Christmas Day, most Walgreens stores will be open from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Twenty-four-hour Walgreens locations and 24-hour pharmacies will remain open.

Walmart: Stores will be open from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Christmas Eve. All stores are closed Christmas Day.

Whole Foods: Stores will be open on Christmas Eve, but hours will vary by location. Call ahead to your preferred store to confirm hours. All stores are closed Christmas Day.
