Congressman Krishnamoorthi Praises Passage of Bill to Prevent President Trump From Rolling Back Sanctions on Russia

Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi released the following statement following the House’s passage of legislation placing new sanctions on Russia, Iran, and North Korea that would prevent President Trump from unilaterally rolling back sanctions on Russia:

“I’m heartened that Republicans and Democrats stood together shoulder to shoulder to prevent the President from unilaterally rolling back sanctions on Russia. In addition to maintaining the important constitutional oversight role of Congress and preventing concessions to the Kremlin, this legislation helps ensure that Iran and North Korea will be held accountable for their human rights abuses.”
