Construction on Hotel at Arlington Downs to Start Next Month
The massive mixed-use development project will include a hotel, water park, homes and restaurant and retail components.

Construction is expected to start soon on Arlington Downs, a massive mixed-use development project that will be located near Rohlwing Road and Euclid Avenue in Arlington Heights, the Daily Herald reports.
Construction on the hotel portion of the development is expected to start next month with work on the retail buildings slated to start in the spring. The 27-acre site, located at the former Sheraton location in Arlington Heights, will include a hotel, water park, restaurant and retail components and homes, according to the article.
“Arlington Downs has been planned and designed to attract residents and patrons with a new urban/suburban vision. It is a mixed use development of low and mid rise facilities with sweeping views of the adjacent wooded areas and the iconic Chicago skyline,” according to information posted on the Arlington Downs website.

One Arlington, the apartment portion of the development, opened last year and is 90 percent full, according to the article. Four Points by Sheraton is expected to begin construction on Dec. 1 on a 160-room hotel and developers have said there are several large restaurants, a hair salon and a movie theater interested in opening in the retail portion of the development.
