ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — The following information comes from the Arlington Heights Police Department and court records as a record of police activity, including incidents reported by the public and those arrested by police.   • Nicole Cullen, 27, is accused of driving under the influence of drugs, and was arrested at 9:45 p.m. Nov. 3, on Palatine Road. Her bail was set at $3,000 and she was assigned a court date of Dec. 15.
  • Heather E. Gritis, 25, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, leaving the scene, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, and was arrested at 5:12 a.m. Oct. 31, in the 600 block of E. Rand Road. Her bond was set at $3,000 and she was assigned a court date of Dec. 8.
  • Enrique Mazaba-Toto, 27, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of alcohol with a blood alcohol concentration level over .08, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, and was arrested at 4:03 a.m. Oct. 30, in the 400 block of W. Algonquin Road. His bond was set at $3,000 and he was assigned a court date of Dec. 15.
  • David H. Vaughan, 52, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, and was arrested at 12:23 a.m. Nov. 1, in the 0-100 block of N. Vail Avenue. His bond was set at $1,000 and he was assigned a court date of Dec. 8.
  • Jung Won Yi, 39, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, and was arrested at Ditka's, 2000 W. Euclid Avenue. His bond was set at $1,000 and a court date of Dec. 8 was assigned.

DRIVING ON A SUSPENDED/REVOKED LICENSE

  • Matthew C. Edwards, 27, is accused of driving on a suspended/revoked driver's license, and was arrested at 5 a.m. Oct 31, at E. Palatine Road and N. Arlington Heights Road. His bond was set at $2,500 and he was assigned a court date of Nov. 28.
  • Luis E. Maldonado Guerrerro, 29, is accused of driving on a suspended license, and was arrested at 1:30 a.m. Nov. 3, at Palatine and Wheeling roads. His bond was set at $2,500 and he was assigned a court date of Dec. 14.

RETAIL THEFT

Joshua T. Franklin, 26, is accused of retail theft, and was arrested at 9:40 p.m. Oct. 30, in the 300 block of E. Rand Road. His bond was set at $10,000 and he was assigned a court date of Nov. 29.

NO VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE

  • Miguel A. Garcia, 19, is accused of operating a motor vehicle with no valid driver's license, and was arrested at 9:09 p.m. Oct. 30, at Wilke Road and Ventura Drive. His bond was set at $2,500 and he was assigned a court date of Dec. 14.
  • Yerthsin Alejandro Rodriguez Contreras, 25, is accused of operating a motor vehicle with no driver's license, and was arrested at 11:08 p.m. Nov. 2, in the 500 block of E. Central Road. Bond was set at $2,500 and a court date of Nov. 23 was assigned.

UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF CANNABIS BY A DRIVER

Solomon Ramos, 27, is accused of unlawful possession of cannabis by a driver, and was arrested at 5:31 p.m. Nov. 4, at Ridge Avenue and W. Central Road. His bond was set at $2,500 and he was assigned a court date of Dec. 14.

ARMED HABITUAL CRIMINAL

Antonio D. Woods, 37, is accused of being an armed habitual criminal, unlawful use of a weapon by a felon, resisting a peace officer, and was arrested at 4:01 p.m. Nov. 1, at the Shell Station, 3 W. Algonquin Road. His bond was set at $200,000 and he was assigned a court date of Nov. 23.

INCIDENTS

BURGLARY

A member at Planet Fitness, 50 W. Rand Road, reported at that between 7:50 a.m. and 9 a.m. Oct. 25, someone unlawfully entered their gym locker and took car keys. The unknown person subsequently entered the victim’s vehicle in the parking lot and stole their wallet containing credit cards, identification and money.

BURGLARY TO MOTOR VEHICLE

  • A person called police to report someone entered their Ford SUV between 3 p.m. Oct. 25 and 6 a.m. Oct. 26 and removed two pairs of Oakley sunglasses valued at approximately $200 each in the 2200 block of S. Goebbert Road. There was no forced entry.
  • An employee at Motel 6, 441 W. Algonquin Road, reported at 3:55 p.m. Oct. 26, someone forced entry into a Lincoln SUV and removed a purse and clothing valuing a total of approximately $100. The cost to repair the damage to the vehicle was unknown.

RETAIL THEFT

An employee of Jewel Osco, 1860 S. Arlington Heights Road, reported at 1:15 p.m. Oct. 26, someone stole approximately $2,500 worth of alcohol and fled out a rear service door.

ARSON

An employee of Shell, 3 W. Algonquin Road, called police at 4 a.m. Oct. 28, to report someone ignited a small fire in the customer bathroom. The damage was limited to the inside of the toilet and the toilet seat. No other damage was observed.

RECKLESS DRIVING

An employee of Sunset Meadows Park, 700 S. Dwyer Ave., reported at 9:59 p.m. Oct. 28, an ongoing problem involving a group of vehicles in the parking lot doing donuts. Vehicles were gone on arrival. No damage was observed.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO PROPERTY

  • A person called police at 4:34 p.m. Oct. 30, to report the glass being shattered to a bus shelter on the north side of Arlington Heights Road at 604 E. Golf Road. It is unknown when it occurred.
  • A caller reported at that between 11 p.m. Oct. 31 and 1:30 a.m. Nov. 1 someone damaged a large window on the west side of Arlington International Race Course, 2200 W. Euclid Ave. Located by the window was a red brick that appeared to be used to break the window. Entry was not gained. The cost to repair the damaged window was unknown.

SUSPICIOUS INCIDENT

A person reported at 2:30 a.m. Oct. 31, hearing what sounded like five gunshots being fired west of a location in the 1400 block of E. Wing Street. A second caller reported hearing approximately nine loud pops in the area. The area was checked and nothing suspicious in nature was noted. The noise was possibly associated with fireworks.
