Death Of Woman Found Outside Hotel Ruled Homicide: Medical Examiner

ELK GROVE VILLAGE, IL — The death of a woman found dead by police Wednesday morning outside a hotel has been ruled a homicide. According to the Cook County Medical Examiner, the woman sustained multiple "sharp force" injuries.
The woman's age and identity had not been released as of Thursday night.

Personnel from the Elk Grove Village police and fire departments responded to a report of an unresponsive person woman at around 4:18 a.m. Wednesday, in the 2400 block of Landmeier Road. Upon arrival, officers located the deceased woman outside a business. The department's investigations section has initiated an inquiry into the circumstances surrounding the death.
According to the medical examiner's report, the address where the woman's body was found is the InTown Suites Extended Stay Chicago hotel.

Authorities said they are are working in partnership with the Major Crimes Assistance Team to conduct the ongoing investigation.
