Dogs Become Super Heroes at Normal Moments WonderDog Walk
How can you go wrong helping rescue dogs & medically fragile children?

The first sign that this charity dog-walk is different is the cape. A bright yellow cape. Every dog has one. Every dog wears one. That’s because at Normal Moments’ WonderDog Walk, every dog (and human)…is a superhero.
On Sunday, April 26th, Normal Moments hosts the Wonderdog Walk at the Busse Woods Forest Preserve in Elk Grove Village. The walk celebrates the role our wonderful pets play in our health and well-being, while raising money to provide services for families with critically ill and medically complex children.
Normal Moments is a non-profit that takes care of the day-to-day tasks keeping parents from their child’s side when family time is most needed. We currently serve approximately 300 families in the Chicagoland area who have children with chronic or complex medical conditions.

In addition to services such as lawn maintenance, snow-removal, and housekeeping, we gladly provide pet care—from routine walking and feeding, to taking temporary custody—all in an effort to make sure that no family has to give up their pets or compromise their care while managing their child’s health.

Normal Moments is a 100% volunteer organization, and our minimal overhead expenses are covered by corporate, board member, and other directed donations. This allows 100% of the funds raised throughout the year to go strictly to serving our families. All our volunteers go through fingerprinted background checks and if we don’t have a volunteer in the area of a family in need, we pay professionals to step in.
