A 55-year-old Park Ridge man was arrested in connection with the incident that occurred on Wednesday night.

DES PLAINES, IL — A Park Ridge man has been arrested in connection with a Wednesday night incident in which he drove his car into a house. Matthew Roman, 55, of the 1900 block of Oakton Street, is accused of aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol, driving on a revoked license, and other traffic-violations.

Police said Roman was taken to an area hospital with serious injuries. No one in the residence was injured.

Police responded at around 6:13 p.m. for a report of a vehicle crashing into a single-family home in the 1900 block of Lee Street. A preliminary investigation revealed that Roman, while driving a black 1997 Ford pick-up, was traveling southbound on Lee St. approaching Howard Avenue. After stopping at the stop sign, Roman spun his tires, causing him to lose control of the vehicle and crash through the front window of the home.
