Edgar Allan Poe elementary school celebrates 50th anniversary
Invitation for community to contribute to 50th tile wall

Edgar Allan Poe elementary school in Arlington Heights is celebrating their 50th anniversary this year, opening in 1968. We would like to invite alumni students and families as well as former and current staff to a take part in marking the year with a permanent tile wall to be installed in the school. Individual tile designs can be created on paper and will be turned into a ceramic tile that will be put together as a group into a large display for 50 more years of students to see! Tiles can be created by former Poe families, students, staff, as well as current staff and students. Tiles could be created in honor of someone connected with Poe, whether a favorite teacher, or Poe memory. Tiles can be created for $10, and packets with information necessary for creation are available in the school office. Tile designs are due by February 5, 2018 to the Poe school office. Please also save the date for our reception celebration on May 3, 2018 from 6:30-8:30 pm. More details closer to the event to be found on the website: www.poepto.com
