Elk Grove Township to Hold Special Meeting for Sale of Properties

A special meeting will be held by Elk Grove Township on Monday, January 30, 2017 starting at 7:00 p.m. in the Elk Grove Village Council Chambers, 901 Wellington Avenue, Elk Grove Village.

This is a required public meeting for Elk Grove Township, in order for the Township to sell (or purchase) real estate.

Township officials have been working on a consolidated plan to sell Township-owned properties at 711 Chelmsford, Elk Grove Village and at 2400 S Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights. In November of 2016, a public meeting was held regarding the sale of Township owned property at 401 W. Golf Road in Mount Prospect. Voters who attended the meeting approved the sale by a majority vote. The overarching goal is to consolidate operations of the Township into one building.

The next step in this process is to hold the meeting to obtain the electors approval to sell the properties. The Agenda for this meeting was approved at a Special Board Meeting on January 11, 2017 and is below.
