EMS Worker Injured As Semi-Trailer Strikes Car Involved In Separate I-90 Crash: Police
All lanes had been shut down and traffic was being diverted following the early Monday morning crashes near Hoffman Estates.
HOFFMAN ESTATES, IL — An emergency medical services worker was injured early Monday morning after a truck tractor semi-trailer struck a car involved in an earlier crash. All lanes had been shut down near Hoffman Estates for over six hours, with traffic being diverted to Barrington Road.
Illinois State Police said all lanes reopened at approximately 8:15 a.m.
Police responded to the scene of the multiple crashes at 1:56 a.m. An ambulance was on the scene of a previous crash. A preliminary investigation has revealed the truck tractor semi-trailer struck the vehicle from the previous crash, causing the TTST to roll over on its side, which pushed the stationary vehicle into the EMS worker.
