Ex Schaumburg Teacher Had Sex With Student: Charges
The former high school teacher turned himself into police Wednesday after being charged with criminal sexual assault.
SCHAUMBURG, IL — A former teacher at Schaumburg High School is accused of sexually assaulting a student nearly two decades ago. Ronald Williams, 53, faces a felony count of criminal sexual assault of a minor over whom he held a position of authority, according to a release from Schaumburg police.
Charges say Williams, of Barrington, had a sexual relationship in 2001 with a 17-year-old girl while she was a student at the school, according to police. Police say they were made aware on June 7 this year.
The former teacher stopped working at the school in 2002. It is unknown whether his departure is related to the alleged 2001 incident.

Williams turned himself in on Wednesday. His bond hearing took place at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Rolling Meadows.
