Felony Theft, Unlawful Weapon Charges: Arlington Heights Blotter

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — The following information comes from the Arlington Heights Police Department and court records as a record of police activity, including incidents reported by the public and those arrested by police. Criminal charges represent accusations by the state and are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the Cook County Clerk of the Circuit Court.

Every person arrested is presumed innocent unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.

FELONY THEFT

Angela M. Hansen, 48, of Sycamore, was arrested July 22 in Rockford and charged with two counts of theft involving the unauthorized control of property valued between $10,000 and $100,000.

Hansen was cited and released pending an Aug. 24 appearance at the Rolling Meadows courthouse.

UNLAWFUL USE OF A WEAPON

Robert Henry Lewin, 42, of Des Plaines, was arrested July 23 near Golf and Arlington Heights roads and charged with unlawful use of a weapon.

Lewin was cited and released pending an Aug. 6 court date in Rolling Meadows.

DOMESTIC BATTERY

Valeria S. Perez, 27, of Arlington Heights, was arrested July 19 and charged with domestic battery causing bodily harm.

Perez was scheduled for a detention hearing and assigned an Aug. 10 court date in Rolling Meadows.

ORDER-OF-PROTECTION VIOLATION

Georgi V. Panev, 46, of Schaumburg, was arrested July 22 in Arlington Heights and charged with violating an order of protection.

Panev was scheduled for a detention hearing and assigned an Aug. 13 court date.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE

Marc S. Adelman, 61, of Arlington Heights, was arrested shortly before 1 a.m. July 21 in the 100 block of South Arlington Heights Road and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol.

Adelman was cited and released pending an Aug. 25 appearance at the Rolling Meadows courthouse.

Adam A. Jablonsky, 33, of Griffith, Indiana, was arrested shortly after 3 a.m. July 19 in the 2200 block of South Arlington Heights Road.

Jablonsky was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving with a blood-alcohol concentration of at least .08.

He was cited and released pending an Aug. 25 court date.

RETAIL THEFT

Maline Etminanpour, 78, of Wheeling, was arrested July 20 at a business in the 1700 block of East Rand Road and charged with retail theft.

Etminanpour was cited and released and assigned an Aug. 11 adjudication date.

Cyrus Sartipi, 79, was arrested July 21 at a business in the 1700 block of East Rand Road and charged with retail theft.

Sartipi was cited and released and assigned an Aug. 11 adjudication date.

Jayvon M. Soares, 33, who was listed as homeless, was arrested July 21 at a business in the 1500 block of West Algonquin Road and charged with retail theft.

Soares was cited and released and assigned an Aug. 11 adjudication date.

Dorothy Tan, 44, of Westmont, was arrested July 17 at a business in the 800 block of West Dundee Road and charged with retail theft involving merchandise valued at $300 or less.

Tan was cited and released pending an Aug. 18 court date.

Gus Tan, 48, of Westmont, was arrested minutes earlier at the same business and charged with retail theft involving merchandise valued at $300 or less.

He was cited and released pending an Aug. 18 court date.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO PROPERTY

Brenda L. Lopez, 49, of Mount Prospect, was arrested July 23 in the 500 block of East Seegers Road and charged with criminal damage to property.

Lopez was cited and released and assigned an Aug. 11 adjudication date.

SUSPENDED DRIVER’S LICENSE

Jarred W. Hamilton, 42, of Deerfield, was arrested July 17 near Miner Street and Arlington Heights Road and charged with driving with a suspended license.

Hamilton was cited and released pending an Aug. 24 court date.

SUSPENDED REGISTRATION

Yenireth Z. Ortega Betancourt, 28, of Dallas, Texas, was arrested July 17 in the 100 block of West Algonquin Road.

Ortega Betancourt was charged with operating a vehicle with registration suspended lacking insurance and operating an uninsured vehicle.

She was cited and released pending a July 31 appearance at the Rolling Meadows courthouse.
